I am very sorry for your loss. May the love of family, friends, and Almighty God comfort you during your time of grief and afterward. (Ps. 83:18; Isa. 41:10) May the hope of a resurrection on a restored earth bring you peace. (John 5:25; Psalm 37:11, 29)

My sincere condolences to the Thompson family. Please find comfort from the scriptures; at Psalms 34:18 we are told Jehovah God is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit. Having recently lost my dad, these words brought me great comfort. I hope your burden gets easier to bear with each passing day. Remember God hears your prayers, so use that means of communication, it truly helps.

Losing a loved one is difficult and during those times we need comfort and understanding. What better place can we turn but to God's word the Bible. Read it daily and he promises that all who do so will have their thoughts and feelings soothed by "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding." (Philippians 4:6,7) (Acts 24:15) This will not only help you through your grieving process but also will allow you to cope. "He will make you firm, he will make you strong." (1 Peter 5:10) Go to www.jw.org to read the Bible and for answers to some of life's big questions.

My heart goes out to the Thompson family on the loss of your precious loved one who has fallen asleep in death. May you find a measure of comfort from the Most High God's written Word the Bible (2Timothy 3:16 & Psalm 83:18).

Please, notice how God's son Jesus viewed death at John 11:11-14. Yes, Jesus viewed death as one sleeping. And, God gives us hope in seeing our loved ones again in perfect health (Isaiah 33:24 & John 5:28, 29). And, the Bible even says where Psalm 37:11 and how long Psalm 37:29). Oh, what a time that will be! May you find some comfort in these few Scriptures. These few Scriptures brought us some comfort when our daughter fell asleep in death and recently my beloved husband of 50 years fell asleep in death.

The God of comfort always keeps His word (Titus 1:2). Please, feel free to contact me or visit for answers to questions that may be unanswered: jw.org

My deep sympathy. I truly understand,
Sissy
