Johnnie Bowman

Retired Army SFC Johnnie Bowman, 70 of 5340 Archer Road, Hope Mills, departed this life on July 1, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 8, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the St. John Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery. 

He leaves to cherish his loving memory: wife, Barbara Bowman; father, Herbert Brooks; daughters, Malarie Wade-Jones, Sonya Caldwell, Sabrina Bowman, Kesha Workman-MacGee and Tenisha Bowman; brothers, Michael Bowman, Gerald Bowman, and Herbert Brooks Jr.; sisters, Karen, Dora and Bradie Brooks; 16 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of family and friends. 

There will be a viewing on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home and the family will receive friends form 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
