I am truly sorry for your loss. However, John 5:25 says “the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who have paid attention will live”. Those who have died and are in God’s memory will be resurrected to a restored earth and have a hope of everlasting life. (Psalm 37:11, 29) I hope this brings you peace.

We just heard about the passing of Doc when we went to Hardee's this morning. He was also known as Pop by the employees. Every morning that we saw Doc he would always give me a big hug and kiss. Such a beautiful soul. My heart is broken and I will miss seeing him in Hardee's. I wish we had found out earlier so I could have paid my respects to his family. ~ Ruth Mullen

Once again God saw the road was getting rough, and the road of life had become too hard to for Sergeant Major Cortez C. Sembly to travel and called him home. There is nothing that anyone can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in time of sorrow, but the NCO Corps will offer our heartfelt condolences and prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of these heroes will carry through each day and night. The NCO Corps thanks him for his selfless service act and his willingness to defend the United States of America and all that we hold sacred. Though tears can never bring him back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that they made and our sorrow at his passing. Additionally, the NCO Corps thanks everyone for keeping him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. There are many in the ranks that believe for every fallen sergeant major like him there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift God has given the Corps. Rest easy, sleep well my brother. Know the line was held, your job is done. Rest easy, sleep well. Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held. Peace, peace, and farewell…

I am so sorry to have read about Doc's passing in the newspaper this morning. My thoughts and prayers are with The Sembly Family.. I always looked forward to his visits at the Clark Pharmacy and a chance to remember all the good times we had growing up..I will miss him greatly. He always had a hug and a kiss for me when he saw me. I had instructed my co-workers at Clark Pharmacy to continue in the special treatment he received after my retirement and hopefully they did.He was a very special man to all the Dimmicks

My deep condolences go to the Sembly family on the loss of your precious loved one. Losing a loved one is never easy. The emotional pain & emptiness is so real. But, I would like to share what helped us when our daughter fell asleep in death and recently my beloved husband of 50 years.
It was indeed the gift that the Most High God gave to each & everyone of us. And that is His written Word the Bible. In it contains many many words of comfort. I would like to share what has and is helping me. Please, notice God's son Jesus comforting view of death. At John 11:11-14 it brings out that Jesus viewed death as one sleeping. And not that one is here or there. I wondered will I see my loved ones again? And from the Scriptures the answer is "yes."
Please, notice these few Scriptures: Isaiah 33:24(No more sickness) Revelation 21:4(No more pain, sorrow or death) John 5:28, 29(the Resurrection hope). And, it says where at Psalm 37:11 & Psalm 37:29 brings out how long that will last. As you ponder over these few Scriptures may it bring you some comfort knowing the Most High God will fulfill His promises(Psalm 83:18 & Titus 1:2).

Sent in deep sympathy,
Sissy
