I am so sorry for your loss. May the love of family, friends, and Almighty God bring you comfort and support during your time of grief and afterward. (Ps. 83:18; Isaiah 41:10) Hold on to your memories and to the Scriptures to bring you peace and to help you to endure your loss until you are reunited. (2 Tim. 3:16, 17; John 5:28, 29)

My deep condolences to the McKeithan family. Although, we have never met I have lost loved ones to the pain of death. And I would like to share what helped me during those most difficult times.
It wasn't just being around family & friends. But the hope & encouragement you get from the gift that the Most High God gave to each & everyone of us, yes that is His written word the Bible (Psalms 83:18 & 2Timothy 3:16). Please, notice how God's precious son Jesus viewed death in such a gentle way. At John 11:11-14 yes he viewed death as one sleeping. And God gives us the assurance that there will be a resurrection of loved ones from the sting of death (John 5:28, 29). And He even says where they are are & where they will be (Daniel 12:2 & Psalms 37:11). May you look forward to God's promises being fulfilled (Titus 1:2).

I hope these few Scriptures were of some comfort. Please feel free to contact me or visit jw.org for more words of encouragement. Our daughter fell asleep in death and recently my precious husband of 50 years fell asleep in death also. I truly understand.

With deep sympathy,
Sissy

I am very sorry that death has robbed your family of someone you loved. In the Bible there are many scriptures that provide comfort. Our heavenly father knows your distress. Jehovah our GOD is referred to as the “The Father of tender mercies and the GOD of all comfort .” Please read 2 Cor 1:3-4, Psalms 34:18 and Isaiah 65:2 for words of comfort.

Sorry for the loss of your loved one. John 5:28, 29 assures Jesus will restore life to those who has died. Revelation 21:3, 4 gives further assurance death will be swallowed up forever. This is a comforting thought knowing your loved one is in God's memory. Hope this brings comfort.
