Robert Anthony Bridges

Mr. Robert Anthony Bridges, age 32 of Fort Stewart, GA departed this life on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.

Robert Bridges was a man who wanted great things for his life. He was extremely versed in everything he did and was successful in all his endeavors. No matter what job he had, he gave his all to it. As a behavioral health specialist in the United States Army, Robert was allowed the fortitude of giving hope to those who needed it. In the short amount of time in his military career, he was able to build on the comaradery and fulfill the need of belonging to something greater than himself. Robert enjoyed paintball, gaming, lazer tag, music and eating. The most enjoyable thing experienced with him was zip-lining. He was not afraid of anything, especially trying new things. The songs he liked were "Seven Years" by Lukas Graham and Walk Off the Earth's version of "Hello" by Adele. Although he's heard the songs hundreds of times, he would always get the lyrics mixed. When Robert prayed he would say, "Thank You, Father God, for another opportunity to get it right." Let us bookmark those words and enhance on the time that we have on this earth. Your life was too short and, Robert, you will truly be missed.

He leaves behind a wife, Melanie, who loved him with all her heart and a young son, Pharroh, who is a miracle from God! He also leaves behind a father, James Bridges, mother, Yvette Harrington, step-mother, Nikki Bridges, sisters and brothers, and step-sisters and step-brothers.

There will be a viewing Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the funeral home.
