Mrs. Verna R. Underwood Freeman, age 52 of 2236 Delta Drive Fayetteville NC departed this life on September 26, 2017.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 30th at 3:00 PM in the Wiseman Mortuary Chapel. Burial:  Northside Cemetery

She is survived by: husband, Leon; mother, Rosanna Wright; father, James Allen; son, Leon I. Freeman; brothers, Dennis Underwood, Alexander (Laneika) Wright, Jr. and James (Carolyn) Allen; sisters, Rosaetti Wright, Barbara (William) Lawson, Karen (Leroy) Groover, Dale Frye and Regina Wright; one grandchild, Layla I. Freeman and a host of other relatives and friends.

There will be a viewing on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home; the family will receive friends at the home.
