Mr. Robert Snipes, Jr. age 85 of Fayetteville, NC departed this life on Sunday, November 12, 2023.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November, 19th at 2:00 PM at St. Luke AME Church, 522 Hillsboro St., Fayetteville, N.C. 28301.

Robert Riley Snipes, Jr., son of Robert and Frances Snipes, was born September 14, 1938 in Chapel Hill, N.C. and departed this life on Sunday, November 12, 2023 in Fayetteville, N.C. Robert (Bobby) finished Lincoln High School in Chapel Hill, N.C. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology and Master's of Arts in Social Studies Education from North Carolina A&T State University.
Bobby started his teaching career at Upchurch High School in Raeford and completed his career at Hoke High School with 30 years of teaching in the N.C. Public School System. He was Teacher of the Year several times during his career.
Bobby and wife, Esther, were married for 58 years. They met in Wildwood, N.J. while there working in the summer. They have two sons, Vincent and Jay. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who received great joy just to be surrounded by family and friends. He was also an avid reader, loved traveling, and enjoyed playing cards and family games.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father and mother and two sisters, Celestine and Johnsie.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife, Esther; two sons, Vincent (Pamela) and Jay (Teresa); four grandchildren - Robert, Kayla, Saniyah, and Michael; two sisters, Gwendolyn Parrish and Gloria Crockett; In-Laws, Reuben Redd, Franklin Redd, Roberta Johnson (Larry), Clyde Redd, Shere' Bredau (Peter), and Milton Redd; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
