As a loving get and caring Father He promises to comfort and soothe those with "broken heart and crushed spirit ". Sorry for your loss, the Bible shows a real hope of being reunited with your dead loved ones. John 5:28, 29 assures us that Jesus will restore life to those who has died. Revelation 21: 3, 4 gives further assurance that death will be swallowed up forever. These are wonderful blessings to look forward to. Hope this thought brings comfort.
