My sincere sympathy goes out to you on your precious loss. I understand the pain of losing loved ones to the sting of death. Three years ago our daughter died and April 21, 2017 my beloved husband of 50 years fell asleep in death. I would like to share what has helped me to cope. It wasn't just the outpouring of love from the many Congregations across the United States but the reality of what was contained in the Scriptures. Reading about how the Most High God's son Jesus viewed death was indeed comforting: Psalms 83:18 & John 11:11-14. Psalms gives the name of the Most High & the book of John gives Jesus view of death yes, as one Sleeping. Not that one is here or there but is sleeping. And the Scriptures even say where: Daniel 12:2 but I look to the future with complete hope of seeing my loved ones again free from sickness, pain & sorrow: Isaiah 33:24, Revelation 21:3,4. The Scriptures even say where they will be resurrected to & how long we will be together: John 5:28, 29 & Psalms 37:11 & Psalms 37:29. Well, I hope that just these few Scriptures were of some comfort to you as they were to me. Sent in deep sympathy & love, Sissy

Mrs. Howard, Doug, Al and Delores--our families have known each other for almost half a century for the Reid and the Howards moved to Ft. Bragg at about the same time. I so remember my Mama and Mrs. Howard cheering at the Irwin and Reid Ross football and basketball games that Howard and Reid siblings played. Emmerson and I were at Ross with Doug, Al and Delores. Kenny and Regina were at Ross with Delores. Close and lasting friendships developed between our families. I pray, along with the rest of the Reid family that your love and fond memories of the man you called husband and dad will outweigh your grief, for we are assured that his spirit is in the Best place and will now be watching over your family. Amen and Ase!
