Words can't even begin to express my relationship with my uncle Grady....out of 9 children, 6 boys and 3 girls, I had a pretty unique relationship with my uncle Grady. . He was my biggest cheerleader. ...we sang together at all family gatherings and he pushed me and encouraged me to never give up on the gift that God placed inside of me. ..He would often keep me up to date on the latest songs that he loved and could never be found without an ipod or tablet loaded with his favorite gospel hits....lord knows I'm gonna miss my uncle. .. We also shared another bond in that we both helped take care of our Grandma Jessie... he would also get me to relieve him on Sundays, while he went to hang out with my aunts and uncles at Grandma Kats house. ...and while in his older age he had become not much of a talker, but he would talk for hours on end while I anxiously awaited his return. ..(I had to keep calling him) and he would always say. ."I'm coming, I'm coming" and then he would show up like 4 hours later. ..lol. ..my uncle was a man of great faith and he had the works to back it. ...In fact he encouraged me every time he told his testimony because he knew that God was a healer. . I love you Uncle Grady and your legacy will forever live. .
