Message from LaVonna, and Va'Ronna
November 20, 2017 6:44 PM

Johnnie grew up with us, when his daddy was singing, there were times, when he, and I and my sister would stay at Aunt Annie Mables and play while they went to sing. The one thing my sister and I could always say he was a dear friend but our friendship went past that to being like brother and sisters. We had some good times back then, you could trust each other and respect each other. His mama could cook some mean collard greens, chicken and chocolate cake. Yeeeeessss. His parents were just like our mom and dad, the same went for my mom, that's why we called each other mothers Aunt. I will truly miss my friend and the talks we had later on in life. He may not have been perfect in our eye sigh, but I am soooooooo glad God always look at the heart. Rest in Peace my friend. Aunt Nannie sends her love to the family as well, her nickname for him was Appie, that was our brother.

To Detra and all of The Williams Family, I will miss my friend, classmate, and cousin. What a blessing Johnny has been in my life! We have always been in each other's corner, even since we were children, throughout high school, and up to this stage of our life. I especially honor the calling God placed in Johnny's heart to minister his divine Word. He will surely be missed. May he rest in God's eternal peace.

Sincerely,
Audrey (Williams) Bates

My deepest condolences to the Williams family:
Life indeed does take its turns. And when someone has been around for 61 years and falls asleep in death they have made beautiful memories to cherish. They will be missed. And, my heart goes out to you. May you look forward to the Most High God of Comfort fulfilling His promises (Psalms 83:18 & 2Corinthians 1:3, 4).
Notice what He promises: Revelations 21:4 ( No more pain, tears, sorrow or death) and He even says where they are (Daniel 12:2), and the beautiful resurrection hope (John 5:28, 29) and where they will be ( Psalms 37:11) and how long (Psalms 37:29). I hope that these few Scriptures were of some comfort to you as they were to us when our precious daughter fell asleep in death and recently my beloved husband of 50 years fell asleep in death. I truly understand the deep pain of losing a loved one.

Please hold onto those precious promises yes, seeing our loved ones again in perfect health (Isaiah 33:24).
My deep deep heartfelt sympathy,
Sissy
