To the families and loved ones of Mrs. Underwood, who we know will be dearly missed. Almighty God promise at Revelation 21:4, that he will wipe away all our tears. And death, pain, and sorrow will be no more. So you can take great comfort in drawing close to God in prayer. And he will sustain and help support your families to endure, during these difficult times. My deepest condolences to all of your loved ones.

Joyce was my first roommate when I arrived at Fort Bragg back in the early 90's. She was a big sister from another Mother from day one. She had a beautiful heart even when she was giving you the business lol. I will always have fond memories of you. May she rest in eternal paradise. God Bless her and her family and I am so very sorry for your loss.

Joyce you will always be known as the big sister I never had, just as Delwin and I have been best friends and brothers. I have 26 yrs of memories and photos dating back to Korea 1990 as all three of us met in a place of higher learning while over there. It has always been an honor of mine to know that I was there since the beginning of the Underwood union. The two of you have accepted my family as your own as did of yours. Our hearts grieve the loss of you and we will love, honor and cherish your memory forever. Love "Tyler" & Mary

I first met Joyce almost 16 years ago. I was just a private first class and I believe at the time she was a sergeant first class. She would always burst into my building with energy and laughter. She treated me well, like a friend and not a young private. Years later we would reunite as civilian coworkers. I loved her fashion sense and enjoyed listening to her stories about Chelsea. She always had lots to talk about and I was happy to lend an ear. I appreciated her personality, this world will be lots less interesting without it. My thoughts are with her family, continued prayers that God may comfort y'all during this difficult time.

To The Family: I worked with Joyce for several years in Ft. Bragg. Her spirit was so full of life, fun and just interesting. In other words, never a dull moment. I cannot remember when or how, but somehow in a true Joyce fashion; she made her way into my family's life. Where not only was she my friend, but that of my family's. This was Joyce to those she cared for.
