Message from The Family of the late Moses Sansbury, Sr.
June 23, 2016 10:19 AM

To: The Brown Family
From: The Family of the late Moses Sansbury, Sr.

It is, with unburdened hearts, an unshakable trust, faith and belief in God’s Perfect Will that we say goodbye to Kenneth Brown, Sr.

A husband, grandfather, father, son, uncle, nephew, cousin, church member, friend, or whatever position Kenneth may have held in our lives – Kenneth identified his position simply as “a child of God”. As such, “the child” has heeded the Father call to return to the unfinished work of preparation.

Let us rejoice in this celebration of the life that was Kenneth Brown Sr., having been assured that “God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comforts others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us”. 2nd Corinthians 1:5

A Blessed Rest
by: Moses Sansbury, Jr.

God looked around His garden, and found an empty space,
Then looked amongst His children, and saw Kenneth’s face.
He saw he was getting weary, so He did what He thought was best;
He took him by the hand and whispered, “come with Me and rest”.

Our loved one has returned home; a voice we loved is still.
A vacancy in our Family, for it was the Father’s Will;
No more sickness, no more pain, never to be left alone,
Rest in peace Kenneth; in God’s loving home.

When I received the news of Kenneth's passing; I immediately thought of when you both came to the cafeteria to visit with Mom and I before our departure for home. A time of family, laughter, and enjoyment of each other, I will hold-on to that memory. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Deepest condolences. When I think of Kenny, I think of the artist in him. He had a gift. Anyone who know me, know that I appreciate crafts and artwork. I remember a handsome young Kenny driving Gwen and I to Laurinburg when we taught school as first year teachers. What a loving, long lasting, enduring friendship. The later part of Proverbs 27:11 reminds us in part, "..better is a neighbor who is close, than a brother that is far away". May the God of comfort bless Gwen and his loving family. RIP brother.

Sister Gwen & Family. So sorry to get the call this morning about Ken. I just remember when I first moved to Fayetteville and he was my mailman and told me all about the Deltas (where you met, what you did,how to get there etc..and finally your name). May GOD's blessings continue to carry you through this part of the journey. Sisterly Deborah
