My deepest sympathy to Belinda and family members. So recently we were saddened by the loss of your lovely mother. I didn't know your brother, but I remember watching him dance. He was a great swing dancer. He gave people a lot of entertainment by his moves. I know that he would want to be remembered happily. may the god of comfort give you peace and in remembrance of the life of your brother, family member. He was truly loved. John 11:25 " Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life...". Look forward to seeing him again, in good health and happy.

Phil you were my co-worker, my mentor, my counselor, and my friend, many days I sat in your office and how you would always tell me, "your gonna be alright, God got you." I knew i could always come to you for wisdom. This really seems unreal and no matter how much i try to block it out, i just shake my head. I will never forget you, to have known you was to love you. No matter if there was disagreements, we always could agree to disagree and remain friends, I will never forget when my dad passed away, when i pulled up on the church ground , you were the first person out of the crowd i spotted, it made my heart feel so good to knew you cared that much to drive all the way to the country, as we say the "backwudz" lol your old stomping grounds. lol RIP my friend, Gone but NEVER Forgotten!!! Love ya

Isaiah 26:19 says, "Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, you residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of the morning, and the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Such is the glorious resurrection hope! May we all look forward to a time when death is no more! (Revelation 21:4). R.I.P., Phil.

March 25, 2015 2:17 PM

This all still feels unreal. I hate that this had to happen to you, it all still feels like a bad dream that I can't wake up from. You were a very important person in my life and in your granddaughter Dakota's life. You treated me like your daughter, there for me always no matter what, and I can't thank you enough for all you did. From you letting us stay in your home, to you encouraging and guiding us to press through anything, be something greater for ourselves and our family. You were a fighter no matter what the obstacle was and you taught us to do that as well. The relationship and bond you and Dakota had was so special, you loved her and she loved you just as much. You will be missed, and I know that you will be watching over us. We love you dad.

I don't know where to start ... I was 16 when I met you and you always remained the same ...and when daquez and I gave you your first grandson everybody said he was your twin...and acts just like you and his dad.. Daquez looked up to a lot and everything that u told him and taught him always stuck with him and he believed in everything you told him and some of those same morals and life lessons and stories you have shared with him he can share with our son someday ..this is a sad time but at least you don't have to suffer any longer ..rest in peace Mr Phil love Clarissa and your grandson DCaurie Melvin

Can you imagine reading a newspaper with the headline: "When Death is Swallowed Up Forever......" What a wonderful time that will be. Revelation 21:4 offers this hope, it states: "And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." What a comforting hope that our Creator Jehovah has promised.
