I am so sorry for the loss of your dear father, Mr. Hollingsworth. May the love of family, friends, and Almighty God bring you comfort and support during your time of grief and afterward. (Ps. 83:18; Isaiah 41:10) May your precious memories of him and the hope of a resurrection right here on a restored earth bring you peace. (Acts 24:15; Psalm 37:11, 29)

My deep condolences to the Hollingsworth family. Although, we have never met I have lost loved ones to the pain of death. And I would like to share what helped me during those most difficult times.
It wasn't just being around family & friends. But the hope & encouragement you get from the gift that the Most High God gave to each & everyone of us, yes that is His written word the Bible (Psalms 83:18 & 2Timothy 3:16). Please, notice how God's precious son Jesus viewed death in such a gentle way. At John 11:11-14 yes he viewed death as one sleeping. And God gives us the assurance that there will be a resurrection of loved ones from the sting of death (John 5:28, 29). And He even says where they are are & where they will be (Daniel 12:2 & Psalms 37:11). May you look forward to God's promises being fulfilled (Titus 1:2).

I hope these few Scriptures were of some comfort. Please feel free to contact me or visit jw.org for more words of encouragement. Our daughter fell asleep in death and recently my precious husband of 50 years fell asleep in death also. I truly understand.

With deep sympathy,
Sissy

We are so sorry for the loss of your loved one. During this sad time, you can get comfort from the Bible. Our Heavenly Father has promised a wonderful future when we will be reunited with our dear loved ones under perfect living conditions ( John 5:28,29 and Isaiah 65:20-25). In the days ahead, may these promises help to sustain your family. Take care.
