I think of Mr. Gainey often and am saddened by news of his passing. He was a good man and a good teacher. He taught in a time when teachers really had time to connect with their students. Mr. Gainey touched a lot of lives and made a difference. May God bring you all peace and blessings.

My deepest sympathy to Kevin and Keith. Words cannot express how much I feel your loss. Your family was always a constant. Dependable people who were highly thought of. May your memories sustain you at this difficult time.That is the type of legacy that we all want to have. As the Bible says in Proverbs 22: 1,2 "A good name is better than riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold." May the God of comfort give you peace.

My condolence to the Gainey family. Mr. Gainey thanks for the guidance an mentoring you provided to me over 30 years ago when I was a little fifth grader at Lillington Middle. Rest in peace! A loud and thunderous HOOAH!!!!!!
